Exploring the last frontier in scientific research—the brain

MilliporeSigma is the U.S. life science business of Merck KGaA Darmstadt Germany. The challenge they presented was to build a position for their brand—traditionally perceived as a supplier of materials to the market—as a thought leader in Neuroscience Research.

The offer would comprise materials, models and instrumentation used in leading-edge neuroscience research. Debuting under the Merck brand it would also serve as the first creative campaign to ‘kick the tires’ of the recent re-branding.

Customer interviews shaped the profile of the buyer we needed to connect with; individuals with high emotional intelligence pioneering the last frontier in scientific research—the brain.

Capabilities / As Strategy lead I conducted all research including customer interviews, composed and presented Findings, facilitated the Client Workshop, authored Positioning Scenarios, briefed Creative and oversaw writing of the Campaign Guideline.
